Important Information for our Guests
The first mention of the street on which the hotel is located dates back to the 14th century – at that time the street was called Tatarskaya. This is one of the oldest streets in the city center.
A little later, the street was renamed Pekarska – because of the large number of resident bakers. At the end of the 18th century, after the entry of Lviv into the Austrian Empire, the street was called University Street, because the university building, which was destroyed in 1848, was nearby.
This part of the street was united with Armenska Street in 1871 and is still called that today – with a small break: in 1944-1946, during the Nazi occupation, the street was called Bürgergasse.

About the building
The building in which the hotel is now located was first mentioned in 1535, and its first known owner was Stinislav Bonarek.
Subsequently, the tenement house bore the name of another owner – Vitek Moroz. In the 17th century, the tenement house was called Obukhivska – in honor of Yakov Obukh. The stone house changed owners several times, who from time to time carried out restoration work. Natana and Geni Boyko set up a shop with a bath for fish in part of the premises.
In 1935, Baruch Horn rented the building for a hat workshop. During the restoration, we tried to preserve the historical outlines and not destroy the unique atmosphere of antiquity.
